Perfect for a birthday or Father’s Day or anytime you want to show appreciation for your husband, dad, brother or special guy you know. It only takes a few dies & some card stock in your choice of colors. A big congrats to Josanna, the newest Featured Stamper (FS901)! She has a really super gallery & after much browsing, I chose THIS card to case. I liked the tools & masculine theme so I kept that but I used different dies & colors & changed the layout a bit. With masculine birthdays & Father’s Day coming up, I thought I’d get a head start & this new overall die fit the bill. The overalls & pockets (new! coming next week) were cut out of 2 blues w/ the buckles/buttons out of 2 metallic silvers. I added a bunch of die cut tools of silver w/ red handles. The background was cut w/ a wood plank cover & the greeting was split & stamped directly onto the pockets. Thanks so much for stopping by! The chubby bee was black embossed & lightly colored w/ pencils & is backed up by a couple of stenciled backgrounds. Easy to make and easy to customize the colors. For the Inspiration Challenge we are visiting Liz Marie Blog & her Pinterest Board. I came across THIS picture of a bee on a gray background & used it for my inspiration. It may not look exactly like the shirt, but that’s where i started. As we all know, things sometimes do not go as planned. After I black embossed the bee onto dk gray & used pencils to lightly color him, I just didn’t like it that much. So time to rethink. I tried it again on a lighter, heathered gray w/ violet undertones & I liked it much better. The smaller white & larger weathered backgrounds were lightly stenciled using pale blue & pale lavender inks. The lower section of the white was cut w/ a tattered edge circles die, the bee & flowers were die cut & added on top along w/ the black embossed greeting. I realized the colors of the Prismacolor pencils aren’t readable in the top pic so the numbers/colors are from the bottom up: PC949 Metallic Silver PC938 White PC934 Lavender PC1026 Greyed Lavender PC956 Lilac Thanks so much for stopping by! A beautiful new floral set with matching dies. We have a special Featured Stamper Challenge to celebrate the 900th Challenge! Your choice of any of the last 100. I chose THIS card by Betty (aka Sweet Irene FS868). I liked the flowers around the frame so I kept that, but I used stamped & colored flowers instead of die cut flowers. I also used different colors & instead of having an inset frame, mine is stacked layers. The ruffled flowers were colored w/ Copics & die cut w/ their coordinating dies. I die cut three stitched layers in decreasing sizes. The Hope part has a matching die (love this!) & the rest of the greeting was stamped in the lower right corner. The Hope word was popped up above everything. These are the Copics I used: (in case you’re wondering about the B’s & BV, there were used to underpaint the leaves & flowers in the shadows.)
